nordic hotels & resorts

portugal

the largest collection of independent hotels in the nordics, all held to the same iso 14001 standard

every hotel under nordic hotels & resorts, from art deco landmarks in oslo to mountain lodges above the arctic circle, is certified to iso 14001 and operates under we care, the group's own sustainability programme built around people, planet and profit in equal measure. it's a rare thing at this scale: a collection large enough to have real range, still small enough that each hotel keeps its own name, its own character, and its own reason for existing.
// in practice
  • every property certified to iso 14001, the international environmental management standard, audited and renewed annually
  • we care, the group's sustainability programme, reports transparently across people, planet and profit each year
  • includes hotel føroyar and the newly opened kg in klaksvík, both in the faroe islands
  • part of strawberry, one of the largest hospitality groups in the nordics, giving independent hotels the backing of shared expertise without losing individual identity
  • portfolio spans denmark, finland, norway, sweden and the faroe islands, from city landmarks to remote wilderness resorts

// well suited for
  • incentive groups wanting a consistent sustainability standard across multiple destinations
  • programmes spanning more than one nordic country in a single itinerary
  • design-led corporate retreats and leadership gatherings
  • wellness and spa-focused incentive travel
  • groups already booked into the faroe islands wanting a trusted extension elsewhere in the nordics

overview

a collection built on the idea that scale and character don't have to cancel each other out.

nordic hotels & resorts brings together some of the region's most distinctive properties, hotel kämp in helsinki, amerikalinjen in oslo, villa copenhagen, copperhill mountain lodge in åre, under one shared standard rather than one shared look. each hotel keeps its own name and its own point of view. what they hold in common sits underneath: iso 14001 certification across the entire portfolio, and we care, the group's own reporting framework, tracking environmental and social performance with the same rigour a much smaller, single-site hotel might apply.

that consistency matters most at the edges of the map. hotel føroyar, perched above tórshavn, and kg, the new arrival in klaksvík, both sit inside this same certified collection, which means a buyer already working with unearth in the faroe islands is, in effect, already working with nordic hotels & resorts. extending a programme into copenhagen, helsinki or the swedish mountains isn't a leap of faith into an unknown brand, it's the same standard, applied somewhere else.

the result is a portfolio that can carry a single incentive programme across several countries without asking the buyer to re-vet every stop along the way.

what this could look like

  • opening a programme at hotel føroyar in the faroe islands, then continuing on to a sister property elsewhere in the nordics

  • a design-led stay at villa copenhagen, where the group's conscious luxury pillar shows up in the building itself

  • a night at sommerro in oslo, an art deco electricity headquarters turned hotel, with dinner under the original 1930s wall fresco

  • meetings at amerikalinjen, the former headquarters of the norwegian america line, with a jazz set in the basement bar to close the evening

  • a spa-led incentive at yasuragi, the group's japanese-inspired bath house outside stockholm, or copperhill mountain lodge for a ski-season alternative

  • a stay at the thief on oslo's waterfront for groups who want their design as bold as their agenda, steps from the astrup fearnley museum

  • pushing further north still, to funken lodge in svalbard or icehotel, for groups wanting the same certified standard somewhere absolutely remote
